CREADONNES is an ethical project of Sustainable Fashion based in Barcelona, committed to social and environmental sustainability in the textile sector. They train, produce and research in sustainable fashion. They provide courses and workshops on pattern making and sewing, lingerie, eco-design, pattern making, scaling and transformations, upcycling at the Raval neighbourhood and services of prototipage, rental of machinery, and rent entrepreneurial space. They also create and sell lovely bags and purses. Creadoness was born four years ago from the from a social programme with the goal of generating new social and employment opportunities for women in vulnerable situations within a framework of inter-cooperation. The group is committed to innovation in environmental sustainability and circularity in the textile sector and follows the Sustainable Development Goals 2030. At present they are moving forward an innovation project aimed at developing a biomaterial made from river cane for clothing, with biodegradable and/or compostable properties. This R&D&I project works through cooperation with the Fasolá Cooperative, the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and the UNESCO Chair. They also organise discussions to find out what is happening in Spain and the world in terms of Biomaterials research.
